Workshops in the KOSTAT-UNFPA Summer Seminar on Population are designated to give lessons regarding Aging and NTAs, Population Projection using the Bayesian Model, and statistical demography using R. The 5th KOSTAT Summer Seminar on Population will be co-hosted with United nations Population Fund(UNFPA) from July 15 to August 10, 2018. Participants are encouraged to select one or more workshops among three options.
All three workshops are open to up 25 participants for each workshop who are proficient in English with training experience in a field relevant to the topic of their workshops. Participants should have a statistical or demographical background as the workshops aim to foster experts.
Tuition and a one-day field during the weekend are free of charge but participants must cover their own travel, meals, lodging, and all other activities in Korea. However, KOSTAT will provide boarding and lodging for each workshop for up to ten full-time graduate students. All participants should register in advance so that the facilities for conducting the seminar can be prepared.
