- In 2011, the infant mortality rate marked 3.0 persons per 1,000 live births, down 0.2 from 2010.
- The infant deaths of less than 37 weeks of gestation occupied 57.9 percent of the total infant deaths. The infant deaths
of less than 2.5kg at birth occupied 57.6 percent of the total infant deaths.
- In 2011, the maternal mortality ratio recorded 17.2 persons per 100,000 live births, which rose by 9.2 percent from 2010.
