□ The number of 'Korean native cattle' and 'beef cattle' was 3,064 thousand in the second quarter of 2013.      This figure rose by 98 thousand (or 3.3 percent) from the previous quarter, but fell by 45 thousand      (or 1.4 percent) from the same quarter of the previous year.   □ The number of dairy cattle amounted to 419 thousand in the second quarter of 2013. This figure dropped      by 1 thousand (or 0.2 percent) from the previous quarter, but grew by 9 thousand (or 2.2 percent)      from the same quarter of the previous year.   □ The number of pigs recorded 10,181 thousand in the second quarter of 2013. This figure went up by 74 thousand      (or 0.7 percent) from the previous quarter and 748 thousand (or 7.9 percent) from the same quarter      of the previous year.   □ The number of layers was 61,927 thousand in the second quarter of 2013, which increased by 3,181 thousand      (or 5.4 percent) from the previous quarter. The number of broilers was 95,898 thousand. This figure rose      by 23,960 thousand (or 33.3 percent) from the previous quarter, but declined by 1,852 thousand (or 1.9 percent)      from the same quarter of the previous year.   □ The number of ducks amounted to 13,287 thousand, which went up by 208 thousand (or 18.6 percent)      from the previous quarter and 684 thousand (5.4 percent) from the same quarter of the previous year.   ※ For more information, refer to the attached file.
