□ The number of 'Korean native cattle and beef cattle' was 2,879 thousand in the second quarter of 2014.      This figure rose by 68 thousand (or 2.4 percent) from the previous quarter, but fell by      185 thousand (or 6.0 percent) from the same quarter of the previous year.   □ The number of dairy cattle amounted to 424 thousand in the second quarter of 2014. This figure declined      by 4 thousand (or 0.9 percent) from the previous quarter, but grew by 5 thousand (or 1.2 percent) from the same      quarter of the previous year.   □ The number of pigs recorded 9,680 thousand in the second quarter of 2014. This figure dropped by      18 thousand (or 0.2 percent) from the previous quarter and by 501 thousand (or 4.9 percent) from the      same quarter of the previous year.   □ The number of layers was 62,851 thousand in the second quarter of 2014. The figure decreased by      1,721 thousand (or 2.7 percent) from the previous quarter, but increased by 924 thousand (or 1.5 percent)      from the same quarter of the previous year. The number of broilers was 103,593 thousand in the second      quarter of 2014. This figure increased by 25,714 thousand (or 33.0 percent) from the previous quarter      and 7,695 thousand (or 8.0 percent) from the same quarter of the previous year.   □ The number of ducks amounted to 6,089 thousand in the second quarter of 2014, which went down by      488 thousand (or 7.4 percent) and 7,198 thousand (or 54.2 percent) from the same quarter of the previous year.   ※ For more information, refer to the attached file.
