□ The cultivated area of rice totaled 727,158ha in 2022, which decreased by 0.7% from 732,477ha in 2021. ○ The cultivated area of rice showed a slight year-on-year decrease owing to the government policy to reduce the cultivated area of rice and the drop in rice prices. □ The cultivated area of chili pepper amounted to 29,770ha in 2022, which fell by 10.8% from 33,373ha in 2021. ○ The cultivated area of chili pepper showed a year-on-year decrease owing to the lack of labor force resulting from population ageing and the drop in chili pepper prices. ※ For more information, refer to the attached file.
