□ In August, the Index of Services declined by 1.0% month-on-month owing to the decrease in ‘Accommodation and food service activities’ and ‘Wholesale and retail trade’ despite the increase in ‘Financial and insurance activities’ and ‘Human health and social work activities’. ○ In August, the Index of Services fell by 3.7% year-on-year owing to the drop in ‘Transportation and storage’ and ‘Wholesale and retail trade’ in spite of the rise in ‘Financial and insurance activities’ and ‘Real estate activities’. ※ For more information, refer to the attached file.
