□ In 2018, the number of survey target enterprises was 13,144 entities, rising by 4.5% from 12,579 entities in 2017. □ In 2018, the annual sales of survey target enterprises (excluding 'Financial and Insurance Activities') marked 2,455 trillion won, rising by 4.8% from 2,343 trillion won in 2017. □ Among survey target enterprises, 5,684 enterprises operated subsidiaries. Among them, 3,214 enterprises operated overseas subsidiaries, which increased by 4.1% from 3,088 enterprises in 2017. □ The research and development expenditures (excluding 'Financial and Insurance Activities') amounted to 54.7 trillion won in 2018, which increased by 11.8% from 49.0 trillion won in 2017. □ The enterprises oursourcing their business amounted to 9,686 enterprises, which occupied 73.7% of the total survey target enterprises. □ Among survey target enterprises, 1,500 enterprises (11.4% of enterprises) developed and utilized the 4th industrial revolution-related technologies. ※ For more information, refer to the attached file.
