□ Employed persons by industry ○ The employed persons amounted to 25,103 thousand persons in April 2013. ○ As for the share of employed persons by industry section and gender, the employed males in 'Construction', 'Transportation' and 'Information and communication' occupied 92.2 percent, 90.6 percent and 73.0 percent, respectively. ○ As for the share of wage workers by industry section and wage level, wage workers earning less than 1 million won occupied 58.0 percent of the total wage workers in 'Agriculture, forestry and fishery'. ○ As for the employed persons of 76 industry divisions, the employed persons in 'Retail trade, except motor vehicles and motorcycles' amounted to 2,171 thousand persons, which occupied the largest share at 8.6 percent. This share was followed by employed persons in 'Food and beverage service activities' (1,800 thousand persons, 7.2 percent) and those in 'Education' (1,727 thousand persons, 6.9 percent). □ Employed persons by occupation ○ As for the share of employed persons by occupation section and gender, the employed males occupied 88.9 percent of the total managers. The employed males occupied 87.0 percent of the total equipment, machine operating & assembling workers. The employed males occupied 85.9 percent of the total craft and related trades workers. ○ As for the share of wage workers by occupation section and wage level, wage workers earning 4 million won or more occupied 68.6 percent of the total managers. ○ As for the employed persons of 51 occupation divisions (excluding soldiers), the employed persons of 'Administration and accounting related occupations' amounted to 3,434 thousand persons, which occupied 13.7 percent of the total employed persons. The employed persons of 'Store sales occupations' amounted to 1,892 thousand persons, which occupied 7.5 percent of the total employed persons. The employed persons of 'Agricultural, livestock related skilled occupations' amounted to 1,433 thousand persons, which occupied 5.7 percent of the total employed persons. □ Employed persons by industry and occupation ○ As for the employed persons by industry and occupation section, professionals and related workers occupied 60.1 percent of the total employed persons in 'Professional, scientific and technical activities'. Professionals and related workers occupied 76.4 percent of the total employed persons in 'Education'.
