□ In August 2017, the non-regular workers totaled 6,542 thousand persons, increasing by 98 thousand persons year-on-year. ○ The non-regular workers occupied 32.9 percent of the total wage workers. ○ As for non-regular workers by employment type, part-time workers showed the highest year-on-year increase. As for non-regular workers by age group, workers aged 60 or more showed the highest year-on-year increase. As for non-regular workers by industry, workers in 'Business, personal and public services' showed the highest year-on-year increase. As for non-regular workers by occupation, service and sales workers showed the highest year-on-year increase. □ The shares of non-regular workers joining an employment insurance, a health insurance and a national pension recorded a rise. ○ The shares of non-regular workers receiving bonus, retirement grants and paid leave showed an increase. ○ The share of non-regular workers who chose their employment type voluntarily went down by 3.0%p year-on-year. ○ Wage differences between non-regular and regular workers (under the assumption of the same working conditions) stood at 9.4 percent, down 1.1%p year-on-year. ※ For more information, refer to the attached file. |
