□ In August 2020, the non-regular workers totaled 7.426 million persons, which dropped by 55 thousand persons from August 2019. ○ The non-regular workers took up 36.3% of the total wage workers, down 0.1%p from August 2019. ○ As for non-regular workers by employment type, non-permanent workers showed the highest year-on-year decrease. As for non-regular workers by age group, workers aged 30 ~ 39 showed the highest year-on-year decrease. As for non-regular workers by industry, 'Accommodation and food service activities' showed the highest year-on-year decrease. As for non-regular workers by occupation, 'Professionals and related workers' showed the highest year-on-year decrease. □ The share of non-regular workers joining an employment insurance went up by 1.2%p year-on-year. The share of non-regular workers joining a health insurance went up by 1.0%p year-on-year. ○ The share of non-regular workers receiving overtime allowances and paid leave went up by 1.6%p and 1.1%p, respectively. Whereas, the share of non-regular workers receiving severance benefits went down by 2.5%p. ○ The share of non-regular workers who chose their employment type voluntarily went up by 1.4%p year-on-year. ※ For more information, refer to the attached file. |
