◈ In the third quarter of 2020, the number of employment positions of wage workers increased by 369 thousand compared to the third quarter of 2019. The year-on-year increase rate of employment positions in the third quarter of 2020 expanded compared to the second quarter of 2020. ◈ As for employment positions by industry, 'Manufacturing'* and 'Accommodation and food service activities' recorded a year-on-year decrease. Whereas, 'Public administration and defence; compulsory social security' and ‘Human health and social work activities’** recorded a year-on-year increase. * 'Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semitrailers', 'Manufacture of other machinery and equipment' and 'Manufacture of rubber and plastics products' marked a year-on-year decrease. 'Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products' and 'Manufacture of pharmaceuticals, medicinal chemical and botanical products' marked a year-on-year increase. ** ‘Social work activities’ and ‘Human health activities’ marked a year-on-year increase. ※ For more information, refer to the attached file.
