1. Internal migration □ The number of internal migrants was 698 thousand persons in December 2014, which decreased by 0.5 percent (3 thousand persons) from December 2013. □ The intra-province and inter-province migrants occupied 65.7 percent and 34.3 percent of the total internal migrants in December 2014, respectively. □ The internal migration rate (the number of migrants per 100 population) marked 1.37 percent, which went down by 0.01%p year-on-year. 2. Internal Migration for Provinces □ Regarding the net migration for provinces, 9 provinces recorded a plus net migration.: Sejong (7,927 persons), Gyeonggi (4,738 persons), Jeonnam (3,069 persons) and so on. On the other hand, 8 provinces recorded a minus net migration.: Seoul (-12,548 persons), Busan (-3,624 persons), Daejeon (-2,821 persons) and so on. □ Sejong, Jeju and Jeonnam marked a plus net migration rate of 5.11 percent, 0.19 percent and 0.16 percent, respectively. On the other hand, Gwangju, Daejeon and Seoul marked a minus net migration rate of -0.19 percent, -0.19 percent and -0.13 percent, respectively. ※ For more information, refer to the attached file.
