The life expectancy at birth for males and females stood at 77.6 years and 84.5 years, respectively.
- In 2011, the life expectancy for Seoul and Jeju recorded 82.7 years and 82.2 years, respectively. The life
expectancy for Chungbuk recorded 80.1 years.
- In 2011, the probability of dying from malignant neoplasms and cerebrovascular diseases marked a drop compared
to 2010. The probability of dying from heart diseases and pneumonia marked a rise compared to 2010.
