○ The life expectancy at birth for Koreans stood at 80.8 years in 2010, up 0.2 year from 2009. The life expectancy
at birth for males and females stood at 77.2 years and 84.1 years, respectively.
○ The probability of dying from cancer marked 28.3 percent for newborn males and 17.0 percent for females,
○ The life expectancy for male Koreans was 0.5 year longer than the average of OECD member countries. The life
expectancy for female Koreans was 1.8 years longer than the average of OECD member countries.
