  • KAZSTAT Project - The First Training in Korea KAZSTAT Project - The First Training in Korea
    • On October 8-13, 2012, 9 staff members of Agency of Statistics of Kazakhstan (ARKS) visited Statistics Korea for training on survey methodologies on employment and price statistics using CAPI, Nara Statistical System (on CAPI) and electronic questionnaire design. This training program was conducted as part of the KAZSTAT Project for the enhancement of the national statistical system of Kazakhstan. The objective of the training was to share Statistics Korea’s theoretical knowledge and experience in using the CPAI System to support introduction of CAPI system at ARKS.

      KAZSTAT Project (Strengthening the National Statistical System of Kazakhstan Project) aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the national statistical system covering all areas of statistical work including statistical systems, ICT, statistical compilation methodologies and human capital development. Currently, the project is led by a consortium of six national statistical offices led by Germany with a project period of 5 years (2012-2016) and budget totaling 23 million USD. Statistics Korea will be leading the “Improvement of IT system” and physical infrastructure over next two years. Starting with the first training session in Korea, there will be a total of 13 on-site consulting services and four rounds of training sessions.
