Ⅰ. Income and Expenditure (2-person or more households)
  
  1. Income
   □ The average monthly household income amounted to 3,842 thousand won in 2011, up 5.8% from 2010. (At 2010 prices a 1.7% increase from 2010)  
   □ The average monthly household income amounted to 3,883 thousand won in the fourth quarter 2011, up 7.3% from the fourth quarter 2010. (At 2010 prices a 3.2% increase from the fourth quarter 2010).

  2. Consumption Expenditure
   □ The average monthly consumption expenditure per household marked 2,393 thousand won in 2011, which rose 4.6% from 2010. (At 2010 prices a 0.6% increase from 2010)
   □ The average monthly consumption expenditure per household marked 2,380 thousand won in the fourth quarter 2011, which rose 3.1% from the fourth quarter 2010. (At 2010 prices a 0.8% decrease from the fourth quarter 2010).

  3. Non-consumption Expenditure
   ○ The average monthly non-consumption expenditure per household totaled 722 thousand won in 2011, which rose 7.2% from 2010.
   ○ The average monthly non-consumption expenditure per household totaled 703 thousand won in the fourth quarter 2011, which grew 7.5% from the fourth quarter 2010.

  4. Disposable Income and Surplus
   □ The average monthly disposable income per household was 3,119 thousand won in 2011, which went up 5.5% from 2010.
   □ The average monthly disposable income per household was 3,180 thousand won in the fourth quarter 2011, which rose 7.2% from the fourth quarter 2010.

  5. Income and Expenditure by Income Quintile
   □ In 2011, the income and consumption expenditure recorded an increase in all the income quintiles compared to a year ago.


Ⅱ. Income Distribution

  1. Gini Coefficient
   □ The Gini coefficient of the total households (Including one-person households and farming households, based on the disposable income) recorded 0.311 in 2011, which marked a slight increase from 0.310 in 2010.

  2. Ratio of the Lowest Income Quintile to the Highest Income Quintile
   □ The ratio of the lowest income quintile to the highest income quintile for the total households (based on the disposable income) marked 5.73 times in 2011, up 0.07p from 5.66 times in 2010.

  3. Relative Poverty Rate
   □ The relative poverty rate of the total households stood at 15.2% in 2011, up 0.3%p from 14.9% in 2010.
