An advance rate represents the ratio of students entering higher-level education to graduates. This provides information on the admissions ratio of higher-level education institutions, and is an indicator of educational aspiration. The second formula, in which the number of students enrolled in higher education is a numerator, can be called the enrollment ratio.
・ Advance rate (1) = Graduates entering higher level education ÷ Graduates × 100
・ Advance rate (2) = Students enrolled in higher education (Persons trying again are included.) ÷ Graduates × 100
・ Advance rate (3) = 1st grade students in higher education ÷ Graduates × 100
