□ In the first quarter of 2025, the number of layers, broilers and ducks recorded a year-on-year increase. Whereas, the number of 'Korean native cattle and beef cattle', dairy cattle, and pigs recorded a year-on-year decrease. □ The number of 'Korean native cattle and beef cattle' amounted to 3.348 million in the first quarter of 2025. This figure fell by 179 thousand (-5.1%) from the same quarter of the previous year and 159 thousand (-4.5%) from the previous quarter. □ The number of dairy cattle totaled 377 thousand in the first quarter of 2025. This figure dropped by 5 thousand (-1.3%) from the same quarter of the previous year and 5 thousand (-1.2%) from the previous quarter. □ The number of pigs was 10.796 million in the first quarter of 2025. This figure fell by 198 thousand (-1.8%) from the same quarter of the previous year and 49 thousand (-0.5%) from the previous quarter. □ The number of layers amounted to 77.995 million in the first quarter of 2025. This figure rose by 1.962 million (2.6%) from the same quarter of the previous year, but fell by 1.008 million (-1.3%) from the previous quarter. □ The number of broilers totaled 93.958 million in the first quarter of 2025. This figure rose by 136 thousand (0.1%) from the same quarter of the previous year and 4.983 million (5.6%) from the previous quarter. □ The number of ducks totaled 6.295 million in the first quarter of 2025. This figure grew by 247 thousand (4.1%) from the same quarter of the previous year, but dropped by 862 thousand (-12.0%) from the previous quarter. ※ For more information, refer to the attached file.
