Definition	Further differentiated by gross-output based productivity which represents the ratio of output to input and value-added based productivity which represents the ratio of value added per unit of labor input. If the production activity is active, then the labor productivity is also proportionately high.Therefore, it is an important indicator for capturing the production trends.
Commentary	Defined as output or value added per unit of labour input during the reference period
