Definition	Excludes portion of stores leased to others even if they are self-owned. For stores combined with residential areas, it only includes floor space which is specifically used for business purposes. Includes floor space used for sales support activities such as self-owned or rented storages, management support offices etc. For department stores, it only includes floor space under the direct management and excludes sold or leased floor space. Establishments sold or leased to others are treated as separate establishments.
