Definition	Surveys conducted for the purpose of producing statistics. The statistics produced via surveys are also dubbed as primary statistics.
Commentary	Survey statistics are divided into a complete survey conducting survey for all units of a target population and a sample survey generating the data representing the whole target population although the survey is conducted for a partial population.
