Turnover rate

Definition
  • Includes a discharge of an employee based on valid causes, voluntary resignations by employees themselves, relocations to a different department within an enterprise, etc.
  • The turnover rate of disabled persons is calculated by the ratio of the total separations to permanent workers. The number of separations is a monthly average from January to June, and the number of permanent workers is based on the figure at the end of June (Survey on the Employment Conditions of the Disabled in the Business Sector).
  • Number of separated employees / ([Employees at the survey reference month + Employees at the previous month of the survey reference period] / 2) × 100 (Labor Force Survey at Establishments)
Commentary
  • It is calculated by the ratio of the total separations to the number of employees at the end of the previous period.
