Definition	Refers to married persons who have a spouse
Commentary	Refers to a status of de-facto marriage where there is a husband or a wife (Population and Housing Census etc.) -Includes persons who have a spouse at present by remarrying. Refers to a status of legal marriage where there is a husband or a wife (Vital Statistics).
