Definition	A person who has never been married
Commentary	In the perspective of a de facto relationship, it refers to a person who has not entered into a de facto marriage or a cohabitation (Population and Housing Census, Economically Active Population Survey, etc.). In the perspective of a legal marriage system, it refers to a person who does not legally have a spouse (Vital Statistics).
