Selling expense includes any costs of products and services consumed during the production and sales processes. It refers to any costs incurred during the generation of sales revenues such as product purchase cost and material cost.
Selling and operating expense include costs of sales activities, administration and maintenance such as wages, rent, public charges, taxes and depreciations.
