Definition	Refer to costs incurred over the past year for raw materials, parts, containers and supplementary materials (such as chemicals and wrapping materials) which are used in producing, repairing or processing products
Commentary	Includes cost of raw materials used in the production on a fee or contract basis where the raw materials are provided to the subcontracted establishment. Excludes cost of intermediate goods in case an establishment receives work orders from other establishments and further manufactures an output by using the raw materials received by other establishments and its own semi-finished goods as inputs.
