Definition	The ratio is a quantitative indicator expressing shortage or abundance of housing inventory in a certain region or country compared to the number of households in the same region or country. Number of ordinary households: Defined as the number of normal households including households composed of members not related by blood and single-person households. Number of housing units: Includes each housing unit in a multi-family house and empty houses.
Commentary	The ratio of the number of ordinary households to the number of housing units
